Reading a property listing with confidence

Residential towers with a swimming pool and landscaped gardens

A property listing is a starting point for a conversation. Images and headline details help you decide what to explore, but they do not answer every question.

Check the basics

Look for the location, property type, area unit and whether the amount is a total price or recurring rent. If a field is blank, ask for the detail instead of assuming it.

Understand the imagery

Ask whether the pictures show the actual property, a sample home or an architectural rendering. Clarify which layout and features apply to the option you are considering.

Confirm what is current

Availability and quoted amounts can change. Ask for the latest information and keep a note of when it was confirmed before you decide on the next step.
